I was blessed with a family that taught the value of self reliance. They didn't just talk about it and stress the value, they taught me the skills to actually make it possible. My mother taught me responsibility and accountability. My father taught me many hands on skills: home repair, computers, woodworking, et al. Most importantly, I was taught to never be afraid to try. For example, when I was 12 or 13 years old, I wanted to physically take apart the $3000 family computer. Shockingly, my dad was supportive of the endeavor. I distinctly remember him saying, "I know how much you enjoy that thing. I trust you'll be careful not to break it."
Experiences like that one, on top of many others, formed me into the man I am today and made this endeavor possible. Thank you mom and dad. My experiences, along with stories of my dad with his father inspired the name "Crowley Legacy".
I love you mom and dad!
